A unique experience that captures the spirit of your journey

Hey there! I’m Heather Jones, the heart behind Rustic Memories Photography.

As a yearbook and photography teacher at our local high school—and a single mom of three grown kids—I’ve spent most of my life around teenagers. From the sidelines of a Friday night game to golden hour photo sessions in the wild desert light, my passion has always been the same: telling teens’ stories through soulful, honest imagery.

I grew up in a small mountain town, and I find inspiration in everything from country concerts and cozy rodeos to road trips through the desert and late-night art projects at home. You’ll often find me with a camera in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.

My goal is simple: to create senior portraits that reflect confidence, authenticity, and that beautiful spark of becoming. These aren’t just photos—they’re memories frozen in time.

My experience with Free Spirit was so amazing, I want to do another shoot with them!

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually spending time with my family, attending local rodeos, or teaching students how to see the world through a lens.

I grew up in a small town that shaped who I am, and I still call it home. My days often include camera gear, lesson plans, a couple of energetic dogs, and a handful of curious chickens. It’s a busy, beautiful mess that keeps me grounded and inspired.
